Shirley's Love Kids!
On March 30, 2009, Ladera International School of Saipan once again visited Shirley's Coffee Shop in Susupe fo another memorable trip. Joining the twenty five students were teachers Genevie Angeles and Christina Sakaziro from K4 to 1st grade classes.
The kids made a tour of the kitchen and dining area and witnessed how pancakes are being made by Shirley's Susupe's Chef Roding. They also took a glimpse of Shirley's "giant freezer" and the "giant washing machine" as the kids call it, which is actually a Hobart dishwashing machine.
After the tour, Shirley's management gave each kid a free plate of Kiddie Nuggets and Smiley Fries and a glass of fruit punch while watching their book project Charlotte's Web movie in a 50 inch television mounted at the dining area of the coffee shop.
And that's not all; a how to make a halo-halo dessert was demonstrated and shared to the kids for tasting. Asked one of the students again what was the dessert called, she answered "fruit shake". Kids, we really love them!
General Manager Susan Macario was so delighted with the students' eagerness to learn and explore the restaurant's world of operation. A trip that even the kids' parents would remember.
